10 reasons why I was loving the Oscars until about 10:25 PM:
1. Jon Stewart. He is my husband, for those of you who don't know. Jon, Stephen Colbert, and Conan O'Brien. Our TV show, Big Love, is coming out soon.
2. The "political" ads. In my humble opinion, the funniest things on an Oscar show ever. See above comment about Stephen Colbert.
3. "Travelin' Thru" and "In the Deep."
4. The dresses of Michelle Williams, Reese Witherspoon, Rachel Weisz, Jessica Alba, and Uma Thurman.
5. The gay western montage, especially the last bit with Gregory Peck and Charlton Heston.
6. For irony's sake, the "Pimp" rapper who thanked Jesus. It reminded me of that comedian in the Comedy Central commercial who says, "I'd like to thank Jesus, Jehovah God Almighty, for my number-one hit single, 'Suck Yo Momma.'"
7. Lily Tomlin and Meryl Streep, a class act if I ever saw one.
8. Not that it came as any surprise, but Ang Lee winning Best Director. *happy sigh* If I didn't already have three husbands...
9. George Clooney's speech about being "out of touch." Bravo!
10. Jon Stewart.
